About Prime Insight
Prime Insight was founded by experienced international educators who believe exceptional outcomes come from deep understanding, thoughtful guidance, and high expectations.
After decades working in leading international schools across the UK, China, Singapore, Japan, and Portugal, we saw how many ambitious students lacked access to structured, high-level academic support that went beyond short-term exam preparation. Prime Insight was created to offer a more rigorous and personal approach — one that develops confident, independent learners prepared for long-term success.
Today, we combine specialist mathematics programmes with expert university guidance to support students through some of the most important stages of their academic journey.
Meet the Team
Adam Knowles
Mathematics Specialist & Co-Founder
Adam has over 20 years of experience teaching Mathematics in leading international schools across the UK, China, Singapore, and Portugal.
He has held roles including IGCSE Mathematics Coordinator, Instructional Coach, and Deputy Head of Mathematics, and has extensive experience teaching both IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. His specialist areas include IB Applications & Interpretation HL and Analysis & Approaches SL, alongside Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics.
Having worked with students across a wide range of academic pathways and ability levels, Adam believes the strongest mathematical performance comes from deep conceptual understanding rather than memorisation or exam tricks. His programmes focus on collaborative problem-solving, independent thinking, and developing the confidence to tackle unfamiliar, high-level questions.
Adam previously worked at UWCSEA Singapore, St. Julian’s School in Lisbon, Dulwich College Shanghai, and King's Worcester.
Claire Knowles
University Guidance Specialist & Co-Founder
Claire has nearly three decades of experience in international education, having worked across the UK, Japan, China, Singapore, and Portugal as both a teacher and senior school leader.
Alongside her background in Geography and secondary leadership, Claire has extensive experience supporting students and families through the university application process, particularly for the UK and Europe. Her guidance focuses on helping students identify appropriate pathways, build strong applications, and approach the admissions process with clarity and confidence.
Claire has worked at Yokohama International School, Dulwich College Shanghai, UWCSEA Singapore, and St. Julian’s School in Lisbon.
